FOX News: Idaho police arrest dozens on suspicion of conspiracy to riot at gay pride event The individuals suspected of being tied to the group Patriot Front are being charged with conspiracy to riot at a gay pride event in Idaho Idaho State Police stopped a U-Haul truck loaded with people with suspected ties to a white nationalist group, Dozens of men were arrested wearing khakis, navy blue shirts and beige hats with white balaclavas covering their faces. Videos of the arrests were posted on social media and show some of the men kneeling on the grass with their hands zip-tied behind their backs. In the past several years we've seen "counter protests" many dozens of times at hundreds of protests, rallies and gatherings... We've seen protesters and black block shutting down speaking events at Berkley, we've seen images of "counter protesters" showing up at "free speech rallies", "back the blue" gatherings and even "prayer gatherings", but this is the fist time I've ever heard of counter protesters being detained and charged before they've even exited a vehicle. That being said I want to clarify I am not supporting white nationalists, nor am I attempting to demean anyone in the LGBTQ++ community. But I still think it curious how this group was arrested for "conspiracy to riot" just based on their intent to make an appearance at a public gathering... I kind of suspect their might be more to the story or possibly a looming 1st Amendment court case in the near future. But we shall see. NBC Local-Portland: (March 12, 2021) Cleanup at federal courthouse after night of destructive demonstrations in downtown Portland https://kgw.com/embeds/video/283-925eaafa-a44b-413a-ac19-f95e75b8586a/iframe? A group of around 50 people gathered at the courthouse and clashed with federal officers Thursday night. PORTLAND, Ore. — Friday morning outside the Mark O. Hatfield courthouse building in downtown Portland, crews were cleaning up broken glass and boarding up windows after a night of destructive demonstrations. Down the street from the courthouse, staff at Foot Traffic found a window that had been broken on the corner of the store's building. It was news to owner Sean Rivers. "I think the fact that I'm caught flat-footed on this and a little unaware is reflective of where a lot of people are with this is. 'Really? Really? You're still breaking the windows of a small business that has been doing good things in this community?'" Rivers said. He said the window will cost about $2,000 to replace. "I'm pissed!" he said. "We should all be very upset and stand up and say this is not ok, because it's actually antithetical to what we need to be doing right now." kgw.com/article/news/local/protests/cleanup-at-federal-courthouse-after-night-of-destructive-demonstrations-in-downtown-portland OK for months residents and some local Portland news networks have been complaining and protesting about the fence around the Portland federal courthouse and Immigration and Customs Enforcement building saying "Portland cannot begin to heal, until the fence comes down", referring to the fence around the federal building... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYd01kH4ccs Of course the fence only needed to be erected in the first place because the "mostly peaceful" Portland protesters were repeatedly attacking and damaging the federal building in the first place. Now with the absence of the fence around the federal building, protesters are once again breaking windows, setting fires and damaging buildings, and not just in the federal building but also private businesses and stores also. For months we've also been told that these protests are "Trump's fault" and these protests and destruction will disappear when president Trump leaves office, many of his policies are revoked and Biden assumes the presidency... well as some like me have predicted that claim like so many others has turned out 'less than accurate'. Trump is out, Biden is president and many of Trump's policies have been repealed - and the destructive not peaceful protests continue. Recently those who previously tried to blame the destructive and violent protests on former president Trump and his policies are now claim to say the pandemic is to blame and as soon as we no longer have to deal with the concerns of the pandemic things will once again return to some semblance of normalcy... I don't have a crystal ball or any precognitive superpower, but personally I believe that prediction will turn out to be just as inaccurate as the previous one attempting to blame the protests, destruction and violence on Trump and his administration's policies.

Leftist protesters are trying to run a local legal immigrant out of business because he supports Trump and the administration's immigration policy. CBS Local: ‘I Love Peace,’ Says Boyle Heights Cafe Owner Of Protest Over Support Of Trump Immigration Policies Residents of a rapidly gentrifying enclave of Los Angeles tried to shut down the grand opening of a new coffee shop, saying the owner’s support of President Donald Trump’s stance on immigrants is reason alone to want him out of the neighborhood. On Thursday, protesters held signs and screamed at patrons in front of Asher Caffe & Lounge located at 945 S. Boyle Ave. in Boyle Heights, a traditionally Jewish neighborhood that is now predominately Latino. They say they oppose the cafe and the owner over his support of Trump’s immigration policies. “So what’s the connection? This is what I don’t understand. I’m confused — the connection between Donald Trump and good coffee,” Israeli-born businessman Asher Shalom told CBS2 News. The kosher cafe was set to have a grand opening on July 12, the day anti-gentrification activists were met by Los Angeles Police officers blocking the entrance. According to Eater LA, about 30 protesters associated with the group Defend Boyle Heights (DBH) showed up to speak up against Shalom, who they called “an anti-immigrant trump loving gentryfier” in a Facebook post. https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2018/07/18/asher-caffe-asher-kosher-shalom-boyle-heights-protests-defend-boyle-heights/ Asher Shalom, the owner of Asher Caffé & Lounge, said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday that as a legal immigrant who came to America 30 years ago, he takes issue with those coming to the country illegally. FOX News: 'It's a Shame': CA Anti-Trump Protesters Target Legal Immigrant's Cafe Over Trump Support "It's a shame that expressing pro-Trump sentiment has really caused all of this divide," he said. The anti-Trump group "Defend Boyle Heights" posted a lengthy video to its Facebook page showing a group of protesters outside Shalom's business. The protesters were heard yelling "These racists have got to go" and some chanted "Shame!" repeatedly to patrons leaving the establishment. In a letter, Boyle Heights Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Lahoda reportedly said that Shalom's views “are not in line with the values and objectives of the Boyle Heights Chamber of Commerce." CBS Los Angeles reported that Lahoda took issue with a Facebook post of Shalom's that states, “I wish Democrats would fight as hard for Americans, as they do for illegals.” In a statement to "Fox & Friends," the Chamber said that the Asher Caffe & Lounge's membership had been revoked, membership dues refunded and that the chamber's participation in its grand opening were cancelled. http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/07/19/asher-caffe-and-lounge-california-protested-being-supportive-donald-trump bizpac review: Legal immigrant’s business revoked by Chamber of Commerce, becomes target for his Trump support A cafe in California owned by a legal immigrant was targeted by the left for its owner’s support of President Trump. The Asher Caffé & Lounge was subjected to protests and had its membership from the local Chamber of Commerce revoked because owner Asher Shalom agrees with Trump’s immigration policies. https://www.bizpacreview.com/2018/07/19/legal-immigrants-business-revoked-by-chamber-of-commerce-becomes-target-for-his-trump-support-655837 Daily Wire: Leftist Mob Hurls Feces At Pro-Trump Kosher Coffee Shop The owner's son, David Shalom, said the protesters even "accosted" customers. "They really intensely protested and accosted all the visitors that came to our grand opening event," said David Shalom's daughter, Yael, said the mob began throwing feces on the windows. "It was very scary," said Yael. "There was a lot of people protesting outside wearing masks […] and they threw a significant amount of feces at our windows." https://www.dailywire.com/news/33300/leftist-mob-hurls-feces-pro-trump-kosher-coffee-paul-bois Click here for VIDEO compliments CBS KCAL9-TV And unfortunately that business has not been the only target of protesters who claim they are opposed to the "gentrification*" of Boyle Heights... According to some media reports (many news and media outlets are ignoring this) and the American Veteran's (AmVets) organization, the NFL extended an offer for the veterans organizations to submit an ad to be run during Super Bowl Lll... which it did. However the NFL ultimately declined to run the AmVets ad because of it's two word title message - "PLEASE STAND"... The Daily Caller: When asked to comment, the NFL’s Vice President of Communications Brian McCarthy told The DC that while a third-party is responsible for actually selling ad space in the program, the NFL ultimately decides what content is allowed to run. “The Super Bowl game program is designed for fans to commemorate and celebrate the game, players, teams and the Super Bowl,” McCarthy explained. “It’s never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement.” http://dailycaller.com/2018/01/22/veterans-group-super-bowl-ad/ AmVets: NFL Rejects AMVETS Super Bowl ad requesting that people ‘Please Stand’ AMVETS National Headquarters, Jan. 22, 2018 – The National Football League, amid controversy surrounding its players kneeling in protest during the National Anthem, has refused to run an ad by American Veterans (AMVETS) in the official Super Bowl program because of its simple, two-word message – “Please Stand.” In a January 22 letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, AMVETS National Commander Marion Polk wrote, “freedom of speech works both ways. We respect the rights of those who choose to protest, as these rights are precisely what our members have fought — and in many cases died — for. But imposing corporate censorship to deny that same right to those veterans who have secured it for us all is reprehensible and totally beyond the pale.” The same ad was accepted by both the NHL and MBA and is slated to run in the official programs for each organization’s all-star games. http://amvets.org/nfl-rejects-amvets-super-bowl-ad-requesting-people-please-stand/ http://amvets.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/amvets-letter-to-commissioner-goodell.pdf The NFL says players should be afforded their "free speech" when it comes to their kneeling protests during the national anthem... But when a veterans group tries to exercise their own "free speech" with an ad that simply says "PLEASE STAND", the NFL says it has "never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement"??? So what exactly is the player protest, kneeling, only during the national anthem and the presentation of the American flag, if not a "political statement"? “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” - Colin Kaepernick http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000691077/article/colin-kaepernick-explains-protest-of-national-anthem

MSN/CNBC: Dozens fired after skipping work to participate in 'A Day Without Immigrants' protests As numerous restaurant employees were given leave on Thursday to march in "A Day Without Immigrants" protests, others returned to their posts Friday to discover that they were out of a job. Across the U.S. employers fired hundreds of protesters who skipped work to participate in rallies. Eighteen employees at Bradley Coatings, a company specializing in industrial coatings, were let go after not showing up for work, according to an NBC affiliate. The company noted in a statement that the employees were not terminated for attending the protests but for being absent. "This past Wednesday night, certain employees of BCI informed their leadership that they would not be at work the following day," the company said in a statement. "Because of the time-sensitive nature of the jobs these employees were assigned to, all employees were told that they would need to show up for work or they would be terminated. On Thursday, the majority of BCI's employees fulfilled their obligations to our clients, but eighteen employees did not. Regretfully, and consistent with its prior communication to all its employees, BCI had no choice but to terminate these individuals." Twenty-one people were fired for missing work at Encore Boat Builders in Lexington, South Carolina. At least 31 workers were let go from Colorado-based JVS Masonry for not showing up Thursday. A dozen employees at I Don't Care Bar and Grill in Oklahoma were also fired for not notifying their employer that they would be taking the day off. Twenty-five workers at Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant and Caterers in Long Island, New York were fired, according to Telemundo 47. The restaurant's Yelp page was inundated with negative reviews following the incident, with reviewers expressing their displeasure with the company's decision to fire the employees. http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/dozens-fired-after-skipping-work-to-participate-in-a-day-without-immigrants-protests/ar-AAn8DMF? http://nbc4i.com/2017/02/18/workers-fired-after-participating-in-a-day-without-immigrants-strike/

LA Times: Trump victory sparks angry protests across California: 'Not my president' http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-protest-trump-20161109-story.html Already there have been a few reports of vandalism and minor assaults during these protests, but there were no arrests... In Oakland, demonstrators smashed a window at the Oakland Tribune newsroom and ignited trash containers and tires, police said. The crowd broke windows on five businesses and vandalized another, said Oakland police spokeswoman Johnna Watson. One citation was issued but no one was arrested, she said And no reports of actual rioting, mass destruction of property, looting or major violent outbursts from protesters with crowds so far appearing "mostly peaceful" according to the Times. Hopefully there won't be any violence and disruption like many a Clinton supporter predicted, if Trump had lost. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/protests-erupt-donald-trumps-presidential-projection/story?id=43413322

Anti-Trump protesters clashed with police and supporters of GOP presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump outside of a Trump Campaign event venue in San Diego. As expected anti-Trump protesters waving American and Mexican flags gathered outside a building where Trump was speaking and also as one has come to expect the supposed "peaceful protests" were anything but peaceful with protesters attempting to climb over barricades or push by police in riot gear to disrupt the event as well as throwing water bottles, and shouting disparaging remarks at law enforcement officers and Trump supporters after the event. But I suppose by comparison this could be consider a more peaceful protest as only 35 protesters were arrested and there were no reports of riotous damage to private property, police vehicles or injuries. I find it more than a little amusing that people who claim to be protesting Trump's extremism, intolerant rhetoric and presumption of violence are themselves the ones actually engaged in extremism, intolerance and real violence at these events. Sounds to me like these protesters need to start protesting themselves to at least maybe appear a little less hypocritical ...
